Ben Tegelaars

Head of Sales - EMEA

Ben Tegelaars heads the subscriptions sales team in EMEA. His team are responsible for retaining and expanding Inframation’s client base across the EMEA region. Ben has 5 years’ experience in sales and account management within leading business intelligence providers, having previously worked for Euromoney Institutional Investor.



Brendan Malkin

EMEA Editor

Brendan Malkin is an experienced journalist having written news and features for the UK’s national press, trade media, as well as local and regional newspapers. He has also researched investigative news documentaries for various BBC radio stations. At Inframation he is responsible for daily news coverage and analysis articles provided by a team of five full-time reporting staff and freelancers. He joined in 2011. He has university qualifications in history, law and journalism.



Brett Birman

Head of Sales - Americas

Brett Birman heads the subscription sales team in the Americas. His team specializes in new subscription sales and account management of current customers. Brett has over 8 years’ of financial markets experience, primarily in the financial information industry. He has an MBA degree with a dual concentration in finance and management.



Daniel Davies

Co-Head of Research

Daniel Davies is the Co-Head of Research having joined the team in 2013 in London. In 2015 he moved to New York and overseas the global research efforts in a strategic and management capacity.  Daniel’s journalist beat is focused on the US and Canadian PPP markets.  He began his career for an executive search firm focused on the consumer goods industry and has a history degree from the University of St Andrews, Scotland.



Dermot McCloskey

Co-Head of Research

Dermot McCloskey co-heads Inframation Deals' global research and data. Based in London he has been instrumental in building out the company’s coverage of infrastructure fundraising, fund performance and the sale of limited partner (LP) interests within the sector. Dermot joined the company in January 2013. He holds a LLB in Laws from the London School of Economics (LSE).



Jon Berke

Americas Editor

Before becoming Americas Editor for Inframation in early 2017, Jonathan led the our sister company Debtwire’s Middle Market North America team for five years.  Prior to that, he had 15 years of experience covering distressed credits in North America. Prior to joining Debtwire in 2005, Jonathan covered an array of large corporate bankruptcies for The Deal ranging from Enron Corporation to Adelphia Communications, and was a beat reporter in casinos and real estate.  Jonathan has appeared on BBC America and CNBC and has been interviewed by the Detroit Free Press and Reuters.


Jonathan Goor

Global Managing Director

Jonathan Goor is responsible for Inframation's global operations across both the subscriptions and event divisions. Since Acuris' acquisition of Inframation in August 2012, Jonathan has been responsible for driving the commercial strategy whilst ensuring it remains the leading intelligence, news and data provider for the global infrastructure community. Jonathan joined Acuris in 2002.



Kate Burgess

Asia Editor

Kate Burgess has 11 years’ of experience in the financial media in Australia and the UK. Prior to launching our content in Asia, she was a reporter with the Australian Financial Review. She began her career as a project finance analyst with PwC.



Laurence Edwards

Head of Sales - Asia

Laurence relocated to the Hong Kong office in 2015 to head up the commercial efforts for Inframation in Asia. Previously, he was based in London and for nearly two years was responsible for looking after clients and bringing on board new subscribers across Europe. Prior to joining Inframation, he led the business origination and client retention efforts at a property investment boutique. He graduated from Nottingham Business School with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Quality and Business Excellence.



Steve Gelsi

Latin America Editor

Steve Gelsi joined Inframation in January 2016 as editor for Latin America having spent three years at Buyouts Insider covering private equity, M&A, fundraising and leveraged loans for the magazine and peHub.com. He also worked for 15 years at MarketWatch.com covering IPOs and writing an energy stock column.



Tom Williams

Global Editor in Chief

Tom Williams has worked in financial journalism for 15 years, taking over overall responsibility for all of Inframation’s content and events in 2013. He was previously group editor of Inframation’s European service having worked as deputy editor and Germany and industrials correspondent for Acuris in Europe, and as a reporter for PRWeek and Euromoney.
